Ella Langley continues to cement herself as one of the biggest stars of 2026, with ‘Choosin‘ Texas’ widely expected to surpass Mariah Carey's Billboard Hot 100 chart record.
With her Morgan Wallen duet, ‘I Can't Love You Anymore’, a mainstay of the Billboard Hot 100 Top Ten, and rumours of a Drake remix swirling, we're breaking down five huge collaborations we'd love to see Langley exploring in the coming months.
Langley has always embraced the spirit of collaboration, with the ‘Be Her’ hitmaker teaming up with the likes of Kameron Marlowe and Koe Wetzel early on in her career, as well as joining forces with Wetzel this summer for their second duet, ‘Jaded’.
The Alabama native has also showcased her penchant for blurring the lines between genres, with Langley highlighting that she's not afraid to step outside her comfort zone and work with artists outside of country, such as BigXthaPlug on ‘Hell at Night’.
With this in mind, we've compiled a list of some dream collaborations that we think would be a perfect fit for Langley. And the first collaborator is...Doja Cat! We're just kidding, of course. While we don't actually think there's any real bad blood between Doja and Langley, and it would undoubtedly be a fun twist to see these two linking up on a joint song, we think - at this moment in time - it's still very unlikely.
Here are the five Ella Langley collaborations we need to hear. We think all of them would not only sound fantastic, but they also feel like feasible possibilities in the near future...
1. Drake
The obvious choice, but one that feels the most tangible right now. After playing ‘Choosin’ Texas’ in the club and complimenting Langley's songwriting via Instagram earlier in the summer, Drake was spotted singing along to her performance in North Little Rock, Arkansas in August. Then, after Langley shared a picture of the two artists linking up backstage, Drake debuted a ‘Choosin’ Texas’ remix.
It feels like we're almost certainly getting a reimagined version of ’Choosin’ Texas’ from Drake, but we're desperately hoping that this will be released as a collaboration, rather than only featuring Drake's new hook and verses. We suspect he'll take a similar approach to ‘Wanna Know’ with Dave and ‘My Way’ with Fetty Wap, where the Toronto rapper revamps the song, but the original artist appears too.
With Langley having already proven that her charismatic Alabama drawls lend itself perfectly to a trap-leaning song with BigXthaPlug's ‘Hell at Night’, we think a Langley and Drake joint offering would sound incredible. We're hoping that, after the ‘Choosin’ Texas’ remix, they have plans to team up in the studio for an original track, potentially released as part of Drake's mysterious Fear Of Missing Out project.
2. Lainey Wilson
This is another collaboration that just makes sense. Langley has repeatedly paid homage to Lainey Wilson as someone that helped open up doors for female artists after her in country music, and Langley asked the ‘Heart Like a Truck’ crooner to be the one to present her with the Billboard Powerhouse Award in April 2026.
Similarly, at the 2026 ACM Awards, when Langley walked away with a record-breaking 7 wins, during one of her many acceptance speeches she revealed that Wilson had prayed with her backstage, as she struggled with pre-show worries and anxieties.
More recently, Langley credited female artists like Miranda Lambert and Wilson as having “saved my life last year”, when she was going through a tough time out on the road.
Given how influential Wilson has been for Langley, both as a role model and as a close friend, a collaboration between these two feels inevitable. Wilson remains one of the most revered names in Nashville, and widely touted as the contemporary Queen of Country, while Langley helps to push the genre into brand new territory through her mainstream success, meaning this would be a momentous link-up.
Both artists are known for their unashamedly twangy Southern drawls, and we'd love to see them leaning into their shared penchant for old-school country with a traditional collab in the style of Dolly Parton, Linda Ronstadt and Emmylou Harris.
Langley and Wilson have performed together on a number of occasions, such as at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena in 2025, and we can't wait to see this friendship translate into a stellar studio recording, either as part of Wilson's next project or Langley's.
3. Brandon Lake
This one might seem a little more left-field at first, but Contemporary Christian Music hitmaker Brandon Lake has been venturing further and further into country music of late.
He hosted a star-studded writing retreat near Nashville earlier in the year, featuring the likes of Lainey Wilson, Thomas Rhett, HARDY, Tyler Hubbard, Dan + Shay, Bailey Zimmerman, Russell Dickerson, and Lake has been rolling out singles from these sessions throughout 2026. Langley wasn't at that particular retreat, but she has been increasingly open about her faith journey during her recent shows.
This has blossomed into an integral moment in her set, where Langley discusses her relationship with God and Jesus, with these heartfelt speeches producing numerous viral clips. Given how vocal Langley is about her Christian faith, with this inspiring songs like ‘Speaking Terms’, a Country-Christian crossover feels as though it's in her future, and Lake is the most obvious choice for this.
4. Post Malone
On 2024's F-1Trillion, it felt like Post Malone had decided to collaborate with a who's-who of all the biggest stars in Nashville, from the likes of Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson and Luke Combs to Dolly Parton, Hank Williams, Jr. and Tim McGraw. At the time, Langley wasn't the megastar she is today, and so wasn't on Posty's radar.
But now, with Langley possessing the No. 1 song in America and establishing herself to many fans as the face of modern country, we're hoping Post has a collaboration lined up with the ‘Butterfly Season’ singer-songwriter on his new album, The Eternal Buzz.
The project is expected to be half-country, half-rap, with 20 songs apiece - leaving plenty of room for guests. We know he's been working with ERNEST again for The Eternal Buzz, with ERNEST the lynchpin for so many of Post's F-1Trillion collaborations.
Given how close ERN is with Langley, having toured with her this year and co-written her Dandelion gem, ‘Loving Life Again’, surely he's put Langley and Post in touch with one another as the latter finalises another stacked guest roster for The Eternal Buzz.
5. Kaitlin Butts
Kaitlin Butts is another collaboration that feels like a matter of when not if. Butts made a devious cameo as the ‘mean girl’ in Langley's blockbuster ‘Choosin‘ Texas’ music video, which also featured Luke Grimes, Miranda Lambert and more.
Butts has joined Langley on-stage to perform hits like ‘Butterfly Season’ and ‘Cowboy Friends’ together in the past, and the duo are close friends, making a collaboration feel long overdue. Butts has explored the talk-singing style that Langley utilises to great effect on ‘you look like you love me’ with songs like ‘You Ain't Gotta Die (To Be Dead To Me)’, and we'd love to see a collaboration in this vein from them.
