Ella Langley has shared a hilarious response to Doja Cat's comments earlier in the week. The rapper was asked if she liked Langley, to which she replied, “I don't know what that is”.
The original comments came during a Sundae Conversation episode with Caleb Pressley, with Doja then listening to ‘Choosin’ Texas’ via a live-stream later in the week. Doja's assessment was that Langley has a “very pretty voice”, but it is “not my vibe”.
The ‘Say So’ hitmaker went on, ““The song’s not bad. It’s literally not bad. The music isn’t bad. I just don’t f***ing like it. Just because I don’t like something doesn’t make it bad”.
Now, via a new Instagram carousel, Langley has poked fun at Doja's comments, captioning the collection of photos from her tour with the playful line, “Ella Langley? What is that?”
It doesn't feel like there is any real bad blood between the two, with Doja making it clear in her live-stream that she liked Langley's voice, she just doesn't listen to country. Langley, meanwhile, seems to simply be making light of the situation with her post, with various followers sharing their amusement in the comments.
Kassi Ashton even went as far as asking Langley to make t-shirts with “Ella Langley? What is that?” on the front - and although she's joking, we reckon this is a genius idea.
Regardless of whether Doja is a fan of hers or not, Langley continues to cement herself as one of the most dominant artists of 2026, with ‘Choosin’ Texas’ expected to spend a 20th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 next week. If it does, the infectious song will become the longest-running non-holiday chart-topper in history.
What's more, given how far ahead the Lone Star State-inspired earworm currently is in terms of chart points, many are predicting ‘Choosin’ Texas’ to surpass Mariah Carey's all-time Billboard Hot 100 record of 22 weeks with ’All I Want for Christmas is You’.
