As we near the 58th Annual ACM Awards ceremony, HARDY has been named the inaugural Artist-Songwriter of the Year.
Having spent the last several years proving his power with a pen, HARDY has nabbed writing credits for Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Michael Ray, Chris Lane, Morgan Wallen, BRELAND, Florida Georgia Line, Cole Swindell, Jameson Rodgers and countless others in the country genre and beyond.
Hardy has also found success with his own songs, including his recent No. 1 hit 'wait in the truck,' 'Give Heaven Some Hell,' 'One Beer,' 'Rednecker' and several tracks off of his sophomore album, the mockingbird & THE CROW, which have become quick fan-favorites.
Originally acknowledged as simply the Songwriter of the Year category, an honor which HARDY walked away with at last year's ACM Awards, the newly expanded category celebrates the best of the best when it comes to singer-songwriters in the country format. Other nominees in the highly competitive category were Morgan Wallen, ERNEST, Miranda Lambert and Luke Combs.
The Mississippi native joins fellow early ACM winners Zach Bryan and Hailey Whitters who earned their respective New Male and Female Artist of the Year awards.
HARDY is the night's most-nominated artist and will be battling it out for Song of the Year, Music Event of the Year, Visual Media of the Year and more. He will also make his ACM Awards performance debut before the curtains close on Thursday night (May 11).
The 58th Annual ACM Awards will air live from Frisco, Texas with country icons Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks co-hosting the star-studded evening. The two-hour show will be streamed live across over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
