One of country music's most prestigious events is back with a bang and a Texas twang.
On May 11, the biggest and brightest stars in country with descend on Frisco's Ford Center at The Star.
Although the nominees are yet to be announced, the usual suspects are widely expected to receive nods for the top awards.
Miranda Lambert was crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year in 2022, and it would be a surprise if the Palomino star does not feature once again among the category's nominees.
Also being tipped as contenders for 2023's coveted ACM Entertainer of the Year accolade is Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen. Both will have new bodies of work out by the time the 2023 ACM Awards roll around, with Combs gearing up to release Gettin’ Old on March 24, while Wallen readies his 36-song album, One Thing At A Time, for March 3.
One of the most decorated artists at both the 2022 CMA Awards and the 2022 ACM Awards was Lainey Wilson. Given the artist's continued to ascent within the country industry this year, she'll no doubt be hoping for a slew of 2023 ACM nominations.
Aside from seeing their favourite country music artists winning a glittering array of awards, viewers will also get to witness another stellar series of performances.
In 2022, the likes of Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Kane Brown, Maren Morris, Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Brothers Osborne and Jordan Davis all played a selection of hits.
Additionally, Carly Pearce and Ashley McBryde took to the stage for a moving performance of their Grammy-winning collaboration, ‘Never Wanted To Be That Girl’.
Once again, the 2023 ACM Awards will be available to watch live via Amazon Prime Video. The 2022 instalment of the ceremony was the first awards show in history to be exclusively live-streamed for a global audience.
