Ahead of this week's star-studded event, the Academy of Country Music has unveiled that breakout Americana artist Zach Bryan has been named the 2023 New Male Artist of the Year.
Since being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 2021, Bryan has been skyrocketing into the upper ranks of the modern country music scene.
As the sole writer on the entirety of his discography, he has produced breakthrough hits such as 'Something in the Orange,' 'Oklahoma Smokeshow,' 'Starved,' 'Fifth of May' and many more, some of which were included on his 2022 blockbuster record, American Heartbreak.
Earlier today (May 10), Bryan also racked up a nomination at the 2023 Americana Honors & Awards for Song of the Year for 'Something in the Orange,' which became one of the biggest songs of 2022 and marked the Oklahoma native's first entry onto the Billboard Hot 100, as well as propelling him to the top of the Billboard Songwriters chart.
The 58th Annual ACM Awards will have plenty more surprises in store in the coming days, including some last minute performance additions. Until then, we wait with bated breath to see what will come from country music's big night in Frisco, Texas.
Taking place Thursday, May 11, the two-hour show will be streamed live across over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
