Just days before the 58th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards, Hailey Whitters has received the honor for New Female Artist of the Year.
A Holler favorite, this award is a long time coming for the Iowa native who first came to town as a songwriter and has spent more than a decade honing her craft and building up her career.
Since the release of her prolific sophomore album, The Dream, Whitters has been on a steady ascent into the finer areas of Americana-leaning country music.
After notching her first CMT Music Award nomination and win for 'Fillin' My Cup' alongside Little Big Town, she released her most recent album, Raised, which spawned her first single at country radio, 'Everything She Ain't.'
Now with a Gold-certified single that is sitting comfortably in the top 30 on the country charts and a shiny new ACM trophy, 2023 is proving to be a turning point for the Midwestern singer-songwriter as she finally sees the fruit of her many years of labor.
The remaining crop of ACM Award winners will be announced on Thursday (May 11) live from Frisco, Texas. The two-hour show, hosted by country icons Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks, will be streamed live across over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
