HARDY and Lainey Wilson's much-loved murder ballad, ‘Wait in the Truck’, has taken the top spot at Country Radio this week, after spending a number of weeks steadily climbing the Mediabase charts.

It continues a successful month on the airwaves for HARDY, who last week picked up his first ever No. 1 at US Rock Radio for his genre-blending smash, ‘JACK’.

‘Wait in the Truck’ usurps ‘Rock and A Hard Place’, a song by one of HARDY's 2023 tour-mates, Bailey Zimmerman. HARDY and Zimmerman are currently supporting Morgan Wallen on the US leg of his 2023 One Night At A Time tour, with both artists having also joined the Sneedville chart-topper Down Under for his Australian and New Zealand run of shows.

In a heartfelt video message shared across his socials, HARDY expressed his gratitude to Country Radio for helping ‘Wait in the Truck’ become his third No. 1 as an artist.

The Mississippi native underlined how much it meant to him that a song like ‘Wait in the Truck’, which puts a fresh twist on the classic country music murder ballad, could still be popular in today's industry.

‘Wait in the Truck’ marks Lainey Wilson's fourth career No. 1, with Lainey having topped the Mediabase charts earlier in April with another 4x4-themed anthem, ‘Heart Like A Truck’.

Since its release in 2022, ‘Wait in the Truck’ has accelerated through HARDY's discography to become one of his most recognisable and successful tracks to date. The song won HARDY and Lainey the 2023 CMT Award for Collaborative Video of the Year, and has also earned the duo a slew of nominations for the upcoming ACM Awards.

HARDY and Lainey are set to hit the road together later this year for a Fall arena tour, which kicks off on August 31, and will take the pair across Tennessee, Ohio, South Carolina, Florida, Los Angeles, Alabama, Missouri, Mississippi and more.
