Jelly Roll to Host 2023 Opry NextStage Live Concert, Featuring Ernest, Megan Moroney and More

Jelly Roll has been confirmed as the host of the 2023 Opry NextStage live concert, which is set to take place on May 10 in Texas’ Lava Cantina, the night before the ACM Awards ceremony in nearby Frisco.
The event will honour the brightest stars of tomorrow across country music, with the chosen class of 2023 including Ernest, Megan Moroney, Ian Munsick, Ashley Cooke and more.
They'll be joined by Jackson Dean, Corey Kent, Chapel Hart and Kameron Marlowe at the prestigious event, with all of the Opry's curated group of up-and-coming artists due to perform.
Jelly Roll will serve as the master of ceremonies, and although it's not yet been confirmed that the ‘Need A Favor’ hitmaker will be performing, attendees will no doubt be hoping he links up with Ernest for a show-stopping rendition of ‘Son of a Sinner’.
The two Tennessee natives co-wrote the vulnerable song, which went on to become Jelly Roll's first ever No. 1 at Country Radio in January. Ernest has since made the introspective, Platinum-certified anthem a staple of his 2023 tour setlist.

Jelly Roll is currently gearing up to drop his first full country album, Whitsitt Chapel, on June 2, which will feature previously released singles such as ‘She’ and the Yelawolf-assisted ‘Unlive’.
The hotly anticipated new record is also expected to include a blockbuster collaboration with one of modern country music's biggest names, Lainey Wilson, for a revamped version of ‘Save Me’. ‘Save Me’ originally appeared on Jelly Roll's 2020 album, Self-Medicated.
