Zach Bryan's hotly anticipated new album will seemingly include a country-folk collaboration with The Lumineers, entitled ‘Spotless’.

Zach and The Lumineers’ frontman, Wesley Schultz, shared the unreleased ‘Spotless’ snippet across their socials on Tuesday (August 8) evening, with fans of both artists already clamouring for the demo to be given an official release.

It appears they won't have to wait long, with Wesley accompanying the clip in his Instagram Stories with the announcement that Zach's new album will be arriving on Saturday, August 19.

Given the fact that ‘Spotless’ has been teased so close to the project's prospective release date, it feels safe to assume the song will make its way onto the tracklist.

Although The Lumineers generally remain within the confines of their ‘folk’ genre categorisation, Zach Bryan's sound has always been tinged with an appealingly folk-inspired quality.

As a result, this collaboration makes perfect sense, and consolidates the ’Something in the Orange’ hitmaker's ongoing attempt to distance himself from Nashville's country music industry.

Accentuating Zach Bryan's folk flirtation was his joint performance with Noah Kahan on Saturday, August 6 at Hinterland Music Festival. In addition to folk influences, it looks like Zach's new album, which is expected to be called ‘Writers and Fighters’, will also feature Americana-based and alt-country flourishes, with the 2023 Grammy-nominee having previously teased duets with The War and Treaty and Sierra Ferrell.

This upcoming collaboration with The Lumineers will surely hold a special place in the Oklahoma native's heart, with Zach revealing he'd once sent a message to the band on Instagram underlining his love for the duo, “Dear Lumineers, You guys are my all time favorite band. Your music has touched me down to my very core. From your EP to ‘Cleopatra,’ I cannot express how much your guys influence has changed my life and musical style. If you want to check out my music it’s on my Instagram page, if not then that’s okay. I just want to thank you all so dearly”.
