Update - Zach has now revealed his new album, a self-titled project, will be released on August 25. A number of fans still suspect he will drop two projects this month, with some speculating that this could be made available on August 19.

Well, it just might be Zach Bryan fans' lucky day as we may have just been bestowed the coveted release day for the Oklahoma native's upcoming project, expected to be titled Writers and Fighters and released on August 19.

Bryan teased the newest of his growing collection of unreleased tracks on Tuesday afternoon, this one featuring alternative folk band, The Lumineers.

Taking to socials, Bryan shared, "Thank you @thelumineers. The admiration started when I was 16 and hasn’t stopped since. [I'll] see you at the @pilgrimagefestival!!"

Shortly after the post went live, the band's lead singer, Wesley Schultz reposted it on his own story, saying "[Zach Bryan], honored to do this sick tune with you. His album drops August 19!"

The slow-rolling tune finds the pair of entertainers trading off lines, singing: "Remember jumping in the pool when we were fully clothed in August / We were soakin', chokin', smokin' in my old shitty apartment / Then they cut off all the lights cause the bills were never paid / We were stealing all the power from the neighbors on vacation / I ain't spotless, neither are you / For once in my life I'm gonna see it through / If you want spotless, I'll always lose / You gave me your love / Lover, you gave me the truth."

The exciting news comes after the talented singer-songwriter was featured on The Joe Rogan Experience where he revealed that his much-loved, unreleased tune, 'Tradesman,' will be included on the upcoming record, and we can assume that this unnamed duet with The Lumineers will be somewhere on the tracklist as well.

Recently, the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker committed to including a live version of his much-loved 2023 single, ‘Dawns’, but the full tracklist has not yet been shared. Though he's given us over 30 breadcrumbs of unreleased tunes that could find their way on Writers and Fighters or other projects, Bryan has only thus far revealed that the new album will be 11 songs long.

In July, Bryan accompanied a song snippet with the caption, ‘Montana bound baby! Albums in August!’ which has led some fans to believe he might be readying two new projects, or possibly even a double-album. Alas, we will just have to wait until – potentially – August 19 to see for ourselves.
