As someone who writes the vast majority of his music by himself, Zach Bryan is very selective in who he chooses to collaborate with.
With that in mind, it's safe to say fans will be celebrating Zach's decision to include genre-blending husband-and-wife duo, The War and Treaty, on his latest unreleased song teaser.
Zach shared a snippet of the new track to his stories, which features The War and Treaty's distinctive, soul-stirring vocals. He accompanied the clip with the caption, “The War and Treaty are national treasures”.
The War and Treaty, comprising Michael Trotter Jr. and Tanya Trotter, recently picked up a 2023 ACM Award nomination for Duo of the Year, following the release of their widely praised album, Lover's Game. Ahead of the prestigious Texas-based ceremony, Zach Bryan was crowned the 2023 ACM New Male Artist of the Year.
Zach's new teaser follows in the sparse, drawn-in footsteps of other recently shared snippets, with the ‘Oklahoma Smokeshow’ hitmaker continuing to hone his hotly anticipated new album, Writers and Fighters.
Listeners are clamouring for Zach Bryan to give the untitled new collaboration an official release sooner rather than later, and attendees at his upcoming run of shows will also be hoping he treats them to a live debut of the introspective track.
The chart-topping singer-songwriter is in the middle of the US and Canada leg of his 2023 Burn, Burn, Burn tour, with dates lined up across New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Colorado, Michigan, South Dakota and more, with Zach Bryan also set to make high-profile appearances at Kentucky's Railbird Festival in early June.
