Morgan Wallen has taken to Instagram to seemingly tease new music, with the ‘Thought You Should Know’ singer-songwriter today (June 1st) sharing a photo from the studio as he continues to hone his keenly awaited One Thing At A Time follow-up.
The Sneedville hitmaker playfully added the ‘Chef’ emoji to the tantalising photo, which was taken by Matthew Paskert, as he hints that he's cooking up some magic for fans.
With Morgan continuing to share clips of new tracks, including the infectious, beat-driven ‘Love Somebody’, the stripped-back, introspective ‘I Guess’ and the simmering, sinuous ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’, we hope he's readying these for an imminent release.
There's no word just yet on when we can expect Morgan's next album to arrive, but this latest photo once again confirms he's hitting the studio hard in-between his 2024 tour-stops.
In a January interview with Billboard, Morgan Wallen revealed he was starting the recording process for his forthcoming record at the end of February. Given the fact that he's been uploading more song demos and clips to his socials of late, it feels like he's testing which track will work best as the lead single from the hotly anticipated project.
With Morgan having released a YouTube version of ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ as part of his lauded Abbey Road Sessions project in March, as well as incorporating this song into his 2024 setlist, it appears he's eyeing this fan-favourite as the first release from the album.
Either way, whenever there's new music on the horizon from Morgan Wallen, it's cause for celebration. Those heading to his This Bar & Tennessee Kitchen in Nashville, which opened its doors today, will be keeping their fingers crossed that Morgan decides to make an appearance and share what he's been working on in the studio.
