After sowing seeds with a series of song snippets and tantalising studio shots, Charles Wesley Godwin has now confirmed that he's officially started the recording process for his new album.
It will serve as the long-awaited follow-up to 2021's critically acclaimed How The Mighty Fall, and fans will be celebrating the fact that Wesley Godwin has confirmed his third album is on the way.
Alongside a smiling studio selfie, Charles Wesley Godwin wrote, ‘Started album number 3 today! I cannot wait for y’all to hear it. Let’s Go!’
In recent months, the folk-country songsmith has shared a slew of teasers that are expected to feature on the new album, including the mournful ‘West of Lonesome’, which Wesley Godwin performed as part of an acoustic Truthful Sessions video on YouTube.
During his high-profile appearance in the latest episode of Zach Bryan's Belting Bronco video series, Charles Wesley Godwin surprised fans with a rendition of another unreleased - and as of yet untitled - song about the life of a man whose days are spent on the road.
More recently, Charles Wesley Godwin posted a heart-rending video of ‘Dance in Rain’, a song he'd penned with Zach McCord for his daughter.
The track is a tear-jerking reminder to her that, even when her father is long gone, his words will live on within her.
Now that album three is on the horizon, Charles Wesley Godwin's rapidly growing fanbase will be excited to see what the lead single from the new project will be.
If the new project is anything like How The Mighty Fall, they'll certainly be in for a treat.
