After a week off, Blake Shelton's swanky new single, 'Texas,' has returned to the peak of the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart.
His first release since departing longtime record label, Warner Music Nashville, and joining the ranks of BBR Music Group / BMG Nashville / Wheelhouse Records, 'Texas' has ushered in a new era for the tenured country star. With more than two decades and nearly 30 No. 1s under his belt, the 2024 single is his first taste of new music in over two years and has achieved four nonconsecutive weeks atop the UK survey.
Filling in the remainder of the Top 5 are a mostly familiar cast of characters as Lainey Wilson's '4X4XU' rises to No. 2, Ella Langley's 'weren't for the wind' stays strong at No. 3 and Old Dominion's 'Coming Home' fits into No. 5. In a change of pace, Myles Smith's 'Nice To Meet You' jumps two spots, taking the No. 4 spot and entering the upper echelons of the chart for the very first time.
Elsewhere, this week's Top 20 sees a few new and returning faces entering the ranks as Shaboozey's 'Good News' claims the No. 15 spot and Riley Green's 'Worst Way' follows right behind at No. 16. Sealing the Top 20 is Tyler Hubbard's 2023 hit, 'Dancin' In The Country,' which jumps more than 50 positions from last week's No. 76.
The UK Radio Country Airplay chart is the first genre-specific radio chart in the country, and is produced by Radiomonitor and the CMA's UK Task Force. The data is compiled from several UK country radio stations, including Absolute Radio Country, BBC Radio 2 - The Country Show with Bob Harris, CountryLine, Downtown Country Radio and Smooth Country Radio.
