Marking eight non-consecutive weeks atop atop the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart is none other than Blake Shelton's newest single, 'Texas.'
His first release since departing longtime record label, Warner Music Nashville, and joining the ranks of BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, 'Texas' has ushered in a new era for the tenured country star. With more than two decades and nearly 30 No. 1s under his belt, the 2024 single is his first taste of new music in over two years and currently sits in the Top 10 on the US equivalent chart.
Filling in the remainder of the Top 5 are a familiar cast of characters plus one as Dasha's infectious 'Not At This Party' surges 14 spots up to No. 2. Myles Smith's 'Nice To Meet You' rises to No. 3, Bailey Zimmerman's 'Holy Smokes' returns to No. 4 and and Megan Moroney's 'Am I Okay?' stays steady at No. 5.
Elsewhere, this week's Top 20 sees a few returning faces entering the ranks as Riley Green's 'Worst Way' (No. 13), Parmalee's 'Cowgirl' (No. 17) and Keith Urban's 'CHUCK TAYLORS' (No. 19) all claim spots in the upper echelons. Excitingly, Chappell Roan also enters the chat as her debut country song, 'The Giver,' secures a spot at No. 18 this week.
The UK Radio Country Airplay chart is the first genre-specific radio chart in the country, and is produced by Radiomonitor and the CMA's UK Task Force. The data is compiled from several UK country radio stations, including Absolute Radio Country, BBC Radio 2 - The Country Show with Bob Harris, CountryLine, Downtown Country Radio and Smooth Country Radio.
