Blake Shelton has notched a sixth nonconsecutive week atop the UK Country Radio Airplay Chart, with his twangy new single, 'Texas.'
His first release since departing longtime record label, Warner Music Nashville, and joining the ranks of BBR Music Group/BMG Nashville, 'Texas' has ushered in a new era for the tenured country star. With more than two decades and nearly 30 No. 1s under his belt, the 2024 single is his first taste of new music in over two years and currently sits in the Top 10 on the US equivalent chart.
Filling in the remainder of the Top 5 are a mostly familiar cast of characters as Drew Baldridge's 'Tough People rises to No. 2 and Myles Smith's 'Nice To Meet You' drops to No. 3. Max McNown makes quite the jump up 20 spots with 'A Lot More Free' claiming No. 4, while Jordan Davis' 'I Ain't Sayin'' re-enters the Top 5.
Elsewhere, this week's Top 20 sees a few returning faces entering the ranks as Mcnown's 'A Better Me For You (Brown Eyes)' takes the No. 17 spot, Nate Smith's 'Fix What You Didn't Break' claims No. 19 and Gareth's 'Last Thing I Do' seals the upper ranks at No. 20.
The UK Radio Country Airplay chart is the first genre-specific radio chart in the country, and is produced by Radiomonitor and the CMA's UK Task Force. The data is compiled from several UK country radio stations, including Absolute Radio Country, BBC Radio 2 - The Country Show with Bob Harris, CountryLine, Downtown Country Radio and Smooth Country Radio.
