Cody Johnson has notched his first ever UK Radio Country Airplay No. 1 this week with his current single, 'The Fall.'
Included on the deluxe version of his acclaimed Leather record, 'The Fall' was one of the 13 new songs from the Texas troubadour in November 2024. The beloved single, which currently sits in the Top 40 on the U.S. equivalent chart, features a heavy helping of creative wordplay as Johnson offers up some philosophical ponderings on life and the human experience.
In the remainder of this week's Top 5, Jelly Roll's 'Heart of Stone' jumps three spots to No. 2 while Ella Langley's HARDY-assisted 'Never Met Anyone Like You' falls two spots to No. 3. Megan Moroney's '6 Months Later' and Miranda Lambert & Chris Stapleton's 'A Song To Sing' fill in the remaining two spots, respectively.
Elsewhere, this week's Top 20 sees a handful of new and returning faces, including an impressive debut at No. 17 from Luke Combs' just-released 'Days Like These.' Meanwhile, Riley Green & Langley's 'Don't Mind If I Do' returns to No. 14, Tucker Wetmore's '3,2,1' returns to No. 18 and Morgan Wallen's 'I Got Better' rises back to No. 19.
The UK Radio Country Airplay chart is the first genre-specific radio chart in the country, and is produced by Radiomonitor and the CMA's UK Task Force. The data is compiled from several UK country radio stations, including Absolute Radio Country, BBC Radio 2 - The Country Show with Bob Harris, CountryLine, Downtown Country Radio and Smooth Country Radio.
