Chris Stapleton has treated fans to another taste of his upcoming album, Higher, by making a brand new song available from the project, ‘Think I'm In Love With You’.
The simmering, electric guitar-driven track explores Stapleton's romantic side, which he showcased most viscerally - and most famously - on his now-iconic 2015 anthem, ‘Tennessee Whiskey’.
The frisky, uptempo ‘Think I'm In Love With You’ instrumental builds as Chris Stapleton's husky vocal grows in intensity, with the Kentucky crooner giving in to the passion that threatens to consume him.
It feels cut from the same sonic cloth as the fiery lead single from Higher, ‘White Horse’, but with a welcome boost of swagger and playfulness introduced.
‘Think I'm In Love With You’ will undoubtedly be a hit with Chris Stapleton's expansive fanbase, especially those who count the bearded songsmith's similarly rhythmic 2020 single, ‘You Should Probably Leave’, as one of their favourites.
Both ‘White Horse’ and ‘Think I'm In Love With You’ will feature on the 2023 ACM Triple Crown Award winner's Higher project, which is due to be released on November 10.
Stapleton's latest dose of new music arrives the day after he received a trio of 2023 CMA Awards nominations, including a coveted nod for the biggest accolade of the night, Entertainer of the Year.
