The 2023 CMA Awards nominations have been released, with Chris Stapleton bagging three nominations for the November ceremony.
It tops off another spectacular performance and year for the 'White Horse' singer, who is set to release his much-anticipated new studio album, Higher, in November.
The 'Starting Over' singer, who now has a total of 34 CMA nominations in his career, is already the back-to-back recipient of the Male Vocalist of the Year award. He's up for it once again, which is the ninth time he has been nominated.
Stapleton is also once again nominated for Entertainer of the Year, a category he successfully won at the ACM Awards back in May. It's his ninth nomination in the top category, where he'll face competition this year from Lainey Wilson, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs and Carrie Underwood.
Stapleton has also received a nomination for Musical Event of the Year for 'We Don't Fight Anymore', his duet with fellow nominee Carly Pearce, which was released back in June. The video for the song, which was produced by Shane McAnally, Josh Osborne and Pearce herself, has just been released yesterday (September 7).
The CMA Awards 2023 roll around on Wednesday, November 8 in Nashville, with Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning once again set to present. Luke Combs will be looking to retain his Entertainer of the Year title in a fight against new upcomers Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson, as well as stalwarts Stapleton and Carrie Underwood.
At the other end of the spectrum, many artists will arrive in Music City with their first ever nomination under their belt, including Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney, and Hailey Whitters.
