The rollout for Zach Bryan's eagerly awaited follow-up to American Heartbreak seems to be picking up speed, with the Oklahoma songsmith sharing 10 unreleased songs to his Instagram page.

Zach accompanied the new flurry of snippets by confirming that the upcoming album, which is thought to be entitled ‘Writers and Fighters’, will be arriving “soon”.

The country-folk prodigy also shared, “this one was for me, I do not care if you like it”, before going on to underline, “I love you guys and thank you so much for getting us this far”.

Given the caption, it seems these ten unreleased tracks are all due to appear on Writers and Fighters, along with Zach's much-loved Maggie Rogers-assisted January single, ‘Dawns’. This would amount to a tracklist of 11 songs, which would align perfectly with the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker's previous comments about the album's length, serving as a drastic reduction compared to American Heartbreak.

Fans are celebrating the inclusion of Zach Bryan's's hotly anticipated collaboration with The War and Treaty in the post, which he has shared a number of times in recent weeks. Also featuring in his newly shared Instagram carousel is another fan-favourite demo, ‘Hey Driver’, which seems to have been turned into a duet with a female vocalist.

Interestingly, the final track in the ten-song Instagram post includes harmonies from a female artist too, which could well be the collaboration with Sierra Ferrell that was teased last week.

Zach has shared a plethora of unreleased songs since his acclaimed 2022 EP, Summertime Blues, with fans having spent the past few months speculating as to which tracks will make the cut for Writers and Fighters. It appears we may now have our answer, with Zach's Instagram carousel of tracks all seemingly due to feature alongside ‘Dawns’.

We're still keeping our eyes out for news of an official release date. However, with Zach Bryan having confirmed he's been spending June recording the new album, it seems Writers and Fighters will - hopefully - be ours to enjoy before the summer is out.
