Country music stalwart, Wynonna Judd, will be hosting NBC’s 2023 Christmas at the Opry special. The country Christmas extravaganza is set to air on Dec. 7.

The festive two-hour Christmas at the Opry special will feature an array of Christmas favorites, holiday classics and today’s biggest hits. While the lineup has not yet been unveiled, Judd will host the highly anticipated musical event on the hallowed Grand Ole Opry stage in front of a live audience.

In addition to the holiday announcement, it's also been revealed that Judd will be the first-ever recipient of the Country Champion honor at the inaugural People’s Choice Country Awards.

The ceremony will also be broadcast on NBC from the Grand Ole Opry on Sept. 28.

As the Country Champion Award honoree, Judd will be celebrated for her decades-long career and her efforts around philanthropy and activism. Throughout her enduring career, she has used her platform to advocate for children, military veterans and their families, disaster relief and more through her work with organizations like the Wounded Warrior Project and Habitat for Humanity.

Wynonna, who was previously one half of the mother-daughter duo The Judds, is releasing a special tribute album on October 27 following her mother Naomi Judd's tragic passing in April 2022.

The project will feature a hotly anticipated duet between Dolly Parton and Lainey Wilson on The Judds’ classic track, ‘Mama He's Crazy.' Additionally, one of country's most exciting prodigies, Megan Moroney, has recorded her take on standout tune 'Why Not Me.'

Other appearances on the tribute record include Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Cody Johnson, Sonya Isaacs, Reba McEntire, Carly Pearce, Jennifer Nettles, Gabby Barrett, Jelly Roll, LeAnn Rimes and more. The full details for A Tribute to the Judds can be found here.
