Post Malone has dropped yet another tantalising teaser ahead of his long-awaited debut country album, with the New York native revealing that his “country record is coming”.

During a Twitch stream, Posty responded to a fan's question about his foray into the genre by reassuring them that his country project is in the works, as well as sharing that he's already recorded some material for it while in Nashville for the 2023 CMA Awards.

As he took a break from his live video game stream, after stressing that his country album is indeed on the way, Post Malone outlined, “I keep singing a song that we made while I was in Nashville, and it's so fucking sick, but it's not out”, before excitingly announcing that he's “working on two fucking albums right now”.

The song he's referring to could be one of the tracks Post Malone recorded while in the studio with Luke Combs and James McNair, with Posty also being photographed during a session with Morgan Wallen and Ernest in the lead-up to the 2023 CMA Awards.

During the ceremony, Post Malone produced one of the highlights of the evening when he took the stage alongside HARDY and Morgan Wallen for a special Joe Diffie tribute.

After the CMA Awards, Post Malone's HIXTAPEPick-Up Man duet with the late Joe Diffie was released, featuring Diffie's vocals from his 2006 Greatest Hits re-records. This week, the swaggering anthem earned Posty his first ever hit on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.

Given the strength of Post Malone's ‘Pick-Up Man’ rendition, in addition to his stellar covers of Brad Paisley's ‘I'm Gonna Miss Her’ and Sturgill Simpson's ‘You Can Have The Crown’, we're certain Posty's country record will represent a colossal moment for the genre. We're keeping our fingers crossed it'll be announced sooner rather than later.
