Post Malone has continued his star-studded tour of Nashville with another studio session with one of country music's biggest names. The ‘Chemical’ hitmaker has been snapped in a new photo alongside Luke Combs and his frequent collaborator, James McNair.
McNair accompanied the picture by tantalisingly confirming the three were not merely hanging out, but were instead working on what appears to be new music, “Figured this one was worth a Post! Magical day of creating with these boys!”.
This has ensured the sense of anticipation is sky-high ahead of Post Malone's classic country medley with Morgan Wallen and HARDY, with the trio set to hit the CMA Awards stage on Wednesday.
James McNair is a credited songwriter on a plethora of Luke Combs’ most popular tracks, including ‘Lovin’ On You’, ‘Going, Going, Gone’ and ‘Out There’, and it looks like he's leant his pen to a blockbuster collaboration between Luke Combs and Post Malone.
It's not the first time Luke and Posty have linked up, with the two artists meeting backstage in 2019. Fans have been clamouring for Post Malone, who is widely known to be a country music aficionado, to release a country-leaning album for years, and it seems the New York native might finally be venturing into this space.
Earlier in the week, Ernest shared a photo of him, Morgan Wallen and Post Malone in the studio, with the trio also having apparently spent time working on some new music.
Interestingly, Ernest is also tagged in James McNair's Posty post, along with producers Charlie Handsome, Louis Bell and Billy Walsh, which implies there's some crossover between Luke Combs and Morgan Wallen's respective studio sessions.
Could Post Malone have served as the conduit for a long-awaited collaboration between Morgan Wallen and Luke Combs?
We're doing our best not to get too carried away. For now, we're simply celebrating the fact that Post Malone has hit the studio with Morgan Wallen and Post Malone in the same week, and that we've seemingly got an array of colossal duets to look forward to.
