The CMA Awards 2023 is always self-styled as the ‘country music's biggest night’ - but with the addition of a blockbuster array of new performers, this instalment might just be the best yet.
Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, HARDY, Kelsea Ballerini, Kenny Chesney and more have been confirmed as performers for the November 8 ceremony in Nashville.
Excitingly, after being booked as a surprise artist at Stagecoach 2024, Post Malone will continue his long-awaited foray into country with a hotly anticipated CMA Awards performance.
Posty will be linking up with two modern country titans, Morgan Wallen and HARDY, for a medley of country classics, which will no doubt serve as one of the evening's many highlights.
Morgan Wallen will return to the Bridgestone Arena stage alongside a surprise guest to perform a song from his record-breaking 2023 album, One Thing At A Time.
Although details are yet to be unveiled, it seems likely this will either be ‘Man Made A Bar’ with Eric Church or ‘I Deserve A Drink’ with Bailey Zimmerman, with Morgan and Bailey having performed the latter together on a number of 2023 tour-stops.
Touchingly, Kenny Chesney, Zac Brown Band, Mac McAnally and Alan Jackson will join forces for a special tribute to the late Gulf and Western icon, Jimmy Buffett, who died at the start of September.
Luke Combs will storm onto the Bridgestone Arena stage for a rousing rendition of his new Country Radio single, ’Where The Wild Things Are’, while Cody Johnson will deliver a stripped-back performance of his 2023 ode to his wife, ‘The Painter’, which is set to appear on his upcoming double-album, Leather.
Kelsea Ballerini will perform her Rolling Up The Welcome Mat stand-out, ‘Leave Me Again’, with Ashley McBryde due to serenade the audience with her introspective single, ‘Light On In The Kitchen’.
Jordan Davis will treat fans to a live performance of his 2023 CMA-nominated track, ‘Next Thing You Know’, while Dan + Shay will perform ‘Save Me The Trouble’. First-time nominees, The War and Treaty, will perform their acclaimed 2023 track, ‘That's How Love Is Made’.
The newly added performers join the already announced Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton, Jelly Roll, Megan Moroney, Old Dominion, Carly Pearce, Tanya Tucker, Little Big Town, K. Michelle and Luke Bryan.
