Morgan Wallen surprised attendees at his first Toronto show last night (Thursday, September 14) by bringing out Bailey Zimmerman for a special live debut of ‘I Deserve A Drink’.
The moody, heartbroken ballad is one of the many stand-outs from Wallen's record-breaking 2023 album, One Thing At A Time, and fans have been clamouring for ‘I Deserve A Drink‘ to be included in his setlist for a number of months now.
Thankfully, the ‘Last Night’ chart-topper has listened to their calls, with Morgan Wallen making the moment extra special by turning ‘I Deserve A Drink’ into a live duet with Bailey Zimmerman.
Bailey Zimmerman is opening on the vast majority of Morgan Wallen's 2023 One Night At A Time shows, including his hotly anticipated December show at the O2 Arena in London, UK.
The Illinois prodigy is continuing to cement himself as one of the most exciting new voices to emerge within country music over the past twelve months, with Zimmerman deservedly picking up the 2023 Billboard Rookie of the Year Award in June.
Earlier in Toronto set, Morgan Wallen performed ‘Tennessee Numbers’, another much-loved One Thing At A Time stand-out that doesn't usually make its way into the Sneedville native's setlist.
Excitingly, it seems ticket-holders for Wallen's remaining two performances at Toronto's Budweiser Stage can look forward to further setlist adjustments. In a March 2023 interview, the ‘Everything I Love’ songsmith name-checked his Toronto run as the perfect opportunity to test out a few different tracks across the three shows.
