Country superstar Luke Combs nabbed an impressive four nominations at the 57th Annual CMA Awards.

Tying with country-rocker HARDY for second-most nominated artist at the 2023 event, Combs will be vying for Single of the Year ('Fast Car'), Album of the Year (Gettin' Old), Male Vocalist of the Year and the highest honor of the night, Entertainer of the Year.

As the reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year, he will be up against some of the genre's usual suspects, including Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson, Chris Stapleton and Carrie Underwood. He'll be up against some of the same names in the Male Vocalist category, which also saw nominations for Stapleton, Wallen, Jelly Roll and Cody Johnson.

For the project specific categories, Combs version of the 1988 Tracy Chapman classic, 'Fast Car.' Since putting the 2023, countrified version out into the world, it has been consistently dominating both the country and pop charts, and has found a comfortable spot on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100. By extension, the song's original singer and sole writer, Chapman, also earns her first-ever CMA Award nomination for Song of the Year.

'Fast Car' is up against some other formidable opponents for Single of the Year, though, including Lainey Wilson's 'Heart Like A Truck,' Jelly Roll's 'Need A Favor,' Jordan Davis' 'Next Thing You Know' and HARDY's 'wait in the truck.'

The second part of Combs' essentially double album released earlier this year, Gettin' Old, is also in contention for Album of the Year. Featuring fast favorites and standout singles, such as 'Love You Anyway,' 'Where the Wild Things Are,' '5 Leaf Clover' and the aforementioned 'Fast Car.'

Marking his third nomination in the category, Combs will be up against Ashley McBryde (Ashley McBryde Presents: Lindeville), Wilson (Bell Botto Country), Wallen (One Thing At A Time) and Kelsea Ballerini (Rolling Up the Welcome Mat).

With this year’s nods, Combs has received 22 total CMA nominations since his awards debut in 2017.

The 57th Annual CMA Awards, hosted by Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning will be broadcasted live from Nashville on Wednesday, November 8 on ABC. For the full list of nominations and details regarding the show, head here.
