Luke Combs has released the music video for ‘Going, Going, Gone’. The track originally featured on the 2022 CMA Entertainer of the Year's acclaimed Growin’ Up album, which dropped in June.
Following Combs dropping an acoustic version of the track last week, ‘Going, Going, Gone’ was also recently announced as his latest single to be sent to country radio, and it is widely expected to become his 15th consecutive no. 1.
A deeply moving and heart-rending reflection on the departure of a lover who was always ‘born to run’, the cinematic video shares shots of candlelit letter writing, wide open expanses at dusk and journeys through the country on steam train, capturing the timelessness of love and loss.
The new video serves as the latest in a series of hints that Combs may be preparing to unveil the second part of his Growin’ Up album, which we suspect could be entitled, Growin’ Up And Gettin’ Old. Last week, he uploaded an Instagram video of him playing a brand new song, ‘Tattoo On A Sunburn’.
