Zach Bryan has revealed country megastar, Kacey Musgraves, will feature on his hotly anticipated new album, with fans now counting down the days until the August 25 release date with extra gusto.
Kacey will appear on the previously teased fan-favourite, ‘I Remember Everything’, which was shared across Zach's socials in June, originally leading listeners to believe it would be a solo cut.
‘I Remember Everything’ follows in the regretful, melancholy-tinged mood of many of the tracks Zach has been teasing of late, and it'll undoubtedly be exciting to see how Kacey's vocals combine with the Oklahoma native's on the finished product.
It'll be the first time the ‘Something in the Orange’ hitmaker has joined forces with Kacey Musgraves, and given the fact that Zach has never collaborated with another artist on a full-length studio album before, Kacey's inclusion is certainly a welcome surprise.
In addition to Kacey Musgraves, the new self-titled record will feature appearances from Holler favourites, The War and Treaty (‘Hey Driver’) and Sierra Ferrell (‘Holy Roller’), along with folk pioneers, The Lumineers (‘Spotless’).
Zach Bryan will also include a range of previously teased songs, such as ‘Tradesman’, ‘Oklahoman Son’, ‘Fear and Fridays’, ‘Tourniquet’, ‘Summertime's Close’ and ‘Smaller Acts’.
After today's revelation, it's evident the country prodigy will not be sticking to his claim that the album will be 11 songs long, with the tracklist instead featuring 16 offerings.
However, we're certainly not complaining, if it means we get to hear more music from Zach Bryan, particularly if this batch of new material includes a star-studded - and hopefully not ‘star-crossed’ - collaboration with Kacey Musgraves.
