The first annual People's Choice Country Awards took over the historic Grand Ole Opry on Thursday night (September 28), but the award show wasn't the only first being celebrated.

During the show, country rocker HARDY stepped out onto the famed Opry stage and its hallowed Circle for the very first time to perform his current smash single, 'Truck Bed'.

Starting in the back of an actual truck bed behind the Opry House, HARDY spent the first verse making his way up to the stage, weaving through the many twists and turns of backstage and eventually exploding onto the stage during the song's first chorus. He met a packed audience that was already on their feet and eagerly awaiting his arrival.

Building to the in-your-face metal breakdown towards the end of the song, HARDY used up nearly ever inch of the available stage space, slashing and dancing around to the beat and bringing his infectious rock-infused energy to the forefront.

The electric performance wasn't the only opportunity for HARDY to take his place on the iconic stage throughout the evening. Earlier in the night, he also took home the trophy for The Music Video of 2023 for the Lainey Wilson-graced 'wait in the truck'.

HARDY was also nominated for The Song of 2023 ('wait in the truck'), The Collaboration Song of 2023 ('red' ft. Morgan Wallen, 'wait in the truck' ft. Lainey Wilson), The Album of 2023 (the mockingbird & THE CROW) and The Male Artist of 2023.
