Morgan Wallen, Lainey Wilson and Jelly Roll were the big winners at the inaugural People's Choice Country Awards 2023, which took place at Nashville's iconic Grand Ole Opry house.

On a night that was stacked with blistering performances from the likes of Kelsea Ballerini, Dan + Shay, Kane Brown, HARDY and more, the biggest names in country music gathered to honour the genre's primary game-changers and boundary-pushers over the past twelve months.

Although not in attendance, Morgan Wallen was crowned The People's Artist of 2023, as well as picking up the coveted accolade for The Concert Tour of 2023 in recognition of his immensely popular One Night At A Time run of shows, which will continue in 2024.

Completing the ‘Thinkin’ Bout Me’ songsmith's trio of People's Choice Country Awards was The Album of 2023 accolade, which Wallen received for his record-breaking One Thing At A Time project.

Lainey Wilson walked away from the Opry with the well-deserved gong for The Female Artist of 2023, as well as sharing The Collaboration Song of 2023 with Jelly Roll for their soul-searching duet, ‘Save Me’, and winning The Music Video of 2023 for ‘wait in the truck’ with HARDY.

Along with The Collaboration Song of 2023, Jelly Roll also celebrated winning The New Artist of 2023, The Male Artist of 2023 and The Song of 2023 for his second Country Radio No. 1, ‘NEED A FAVOR’. Viewers were treated to a special live-streamed performance from Jelly in Cincinnati, which closed out a spectacular inaugural ceremony.

Dan + Shay triumphed in The Group/Duo of 2023 category and performed their new album's title-track, ‘Bigger Houses’, while Blake Shelton was awarded The Social Country Star of 2023 award.

Chris Stapleton and P!nk's ‘Just Say I'm Sorry’ was voted The Crossover Song of 2023, with the moving duet having featured on the latter's acclaimed new album, TRUSTFALL.

Toby Keith was touchingly awarded the Country Icon accolade by Blake Shelton, while Wynonna was recognised as the 2023 Country Champion by Brothers Osborne.
