Gavin Adcock hasn't ruled out recording a song with Zach Bryan, nearly a year after their public feud ended with Bryan famously climbing over a barbed wire fence to confront him.
Adcock was appearing on the Bobby Bones show when he was asked whether he and Bryan would ever make music together. While the question may have sounded a little like clickbait, apparently, it isn’t impossible.
After Bobby Bones suggested that a collaboration wasn’t “out of the realm of possibility”, Adcock eventually offered two rather intriguing words. “We’ll see.” Either it was a polite brush off or could it be… there might be something coming?
Adcock’s rough outlaw style of country and Southern rock has taken him from uploading songs independently to touring with Morgan Wallen, entering the Billboard Hot 100 with ‘Last One to Know’ and reaching No. 4 on the country albums chart with Own Worst Enemy.
He has become almost as well known for saying exactly what he thinks. The trouble with Bryan began in July 2025, after a teenage fan publicly expressed his disappointment at not meeting him after a show.
Bryan responded that fans were not automatically entitled to a photograph or conversation after he had performed for two and a half hours. Adcock took issue with the way the singer addressed the teenager, arguing that somebody in Bryan’s position should have handled it differently.
Two months later, the pair came face to face at Born and Raised Festival in Oklahoma. Footage showed them arguing from opposite sides of a fence, before Bryan climbed over it and security intervened.
Speaking to Bones almost a year later, Adcock still stood by the reason he got involved. However, his tone towards Bryan was noticeably different: “I really hope the guy’s doing better”.
It's not an apology, but we hope it's a sign the two have repaired and maybe even found a friendship. Regardless, it does sound less hostile than two men shouting at one another over a fence.
Bryan is now one of the biggest live artists in America, while Adcock is one of country music’s fastest-rising and most outspoken newcomers. A collaboration between them would make far more sense than the history suggests.
After everything that has happened between them, it would probably break the internet too...
