The Academy of Country Music have today announced the nominations for the 2022 57th ACM Awards, which will be hosted by country superstar Dolly Parton.

Celebrating country music's biggest stars and emerging talent, the two-hour show will stream live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on March 7.

Walker Hayes, Miranda Lambert, Chris Stapleton and Chris Young lead nominations, with 35% of nominees being nominated for the first time within their respective categories.

Luke Combs, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton are nominees for Entertainer of the Year. A win for either artist in that category will also clinch the coveted Triple Crown Award, which consists of an Entertainer of the Year win, plus wins in an act’s respective New Artist (male, female, or duo or group) and Artist (male, female, duo or group) categories.

Joined by Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett as co-hosts, Parton - who has been nominated for 45 ACMs and honoured with 13 throughout her career - will lead the show, which is to be streamed exclusively and without commercial interruption on Prime Video.

"I am so excited to be hosting the ACM Awards. Watch for us because we're going to have some fun,” said the icon. Her forthcoming original novel, Run, Rose, Run, and its accompanying album, are both set for release on March 7.

Commenting on the announcement, ACM CEO Damon Whiteside said: "There is no one better than Dolly to represent the ACM Awards brand and country music on a global scale as we move to streaming, and show the world that ‘this is how we country’ by delivering one of the most exhilarating and innovative shows in our history to audiences worldwide.”
