Megan Moroney's position at the forefront of country music's new wave of artists was solidified this week with a high-profile appearance on NBC's TODAY Show.
The fast-emerging prodigy took the stage to deliver a live rendition of her Platinum-certified hit, ‘Tennessee Orange’, as well as taking the time to chat to the TODAY Show hosts ahead of her performance.
They discussed Moroney's meteoric rise to prominence, from studying accountancy at college and not planning on pursuing a full-time music career, to bursting onto the scene with her infectious hit single about falling for a boy that supports her family's rival football team.
Often, artists can come across as nervous and a tad uncomfortable when performing on national TV for the first time. However, throughout her performance, Megan Moroney showcased her conversational, easygoing lyricism in combination with her honeyed, laid-back vocals, never appearing intimidated by the significance of the occasion.
Moroney's first ever national TV appearance comes just over a week after she released her debut full-length album, Lucky, which features the much-loved singles, ‘I'm Not Pretty’ and ‘Girl in the Mirror’.
The project also saw the release of a number of previously teased tracks that fans have been eagerly waiting to hear ever since Moroney teased them last year, such as ‘Kansas Anymore’ and ‘Mustang Or Me’.

Megan Moroney is currently out on the road supporting country legends, Brooks & Dunn, with the up-and-coming artist then embarking on her headlining Lucky Tour in the Fall.
