October is slated to be quite the busy month for the historic Grand Ole Opry stage, with the venue playing host to a jam-packed schedule of traditional Opry shows and several special events, too.
Even though outside of Music City the festival season is dying down, things are just picking up in Nashville and headed straight for the Opry, which saw the inaugural broadcast of the People's Choice Country Awards on September 28.
Before the month's end, October will feature two country stars officially becoming part of the Grand Ole Opry family, with Sara Evans being honored on Oct. 7 and Jon Pardi enjoying the same celebration on Oct. 24.
Also on tap for the hallowed Circle will be the live taping of 'Christmas at the Opry', hosted by Wynonna Judd, on Oct. 3 and the annual Opry Goes Pink show, which will feature performances from Priscilla Block, Kelly Lang, Carly Pearce and more in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Oct. 10.
Elsewhere on the Opry schedule, country music fans will be able to catch a double-header on Oct. 14 during 'I Wonder Do You Think of Me: The Opry Remembers Keith Whitley,' with appearances expected from Garth Brooks, Terri Clark, Ashley McBryde, Lorrie Morgan, Jesse Keith Whitley and others.
The iconic venue will showcase its usual country icons, Jeannie Seely, Vince Gill, Bill Anderson, Rhonda Vincent, Mandy Barnett and more, while also featuring a number of other Grand Ole Opry staples, including The Gatlin Brothers, Gene Watson, Henry Cho, The Isaacs, Gary Mule Deer and Riders In The Sky.
There will plenty of newer faces sprinkled throughout the month of October, with special sets from Lainey Wilson, Charlie Worsham, Josh Ross, Restless Road, Mason Ramsey, Colbie Caillat, Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch, Chapel Hart, Chris Young and several others.
Apart from its routine shows, the Opry House's programming will also feature Rupaul's Drag Race Night of the Living Drag (Oct. 15), the Josie Music Awards (Oct. 22) and Disney Junior Live on Tour: Costume Palooza (Oct. 29).
