As he promised, Zach Bryan has officially released new music.
Having shared various teasers of different unreleased snippets across socials these past couple weeks, Bryan finally dropped the official release last night (6 November) in the form of new song 'This World's A Giant'.
First teased back in January this year on X, the song is a pensive, mournful murmur, blessed by warm brass and gentle harmonies as Zach asks God for forgiveness and acknowledges his vices hold him back from becoming the man he wants to be.
The song has been released amid his very public break-up with podcaster and personality Brianna 'Chickenfry' LaPaglia.
Her employers, Barstool Sports, and in particular their founder, fellow podcaster and personality Dave Portnoy, have been particularly critical of Bryan across Social Media, releasing a 'diss track' through their own BFFs Podcast, which LaPaglia and Portnoy host alongside Josh Richards.
Upon the release of 'This World's A Giant' last night, Zach confirmed that there would be even more new music to come, stating in an Instagram story on his channel "ain't all bad, the windows are cracked - another one tomorrow".
That song could potentially be one he also teased last night in a further post to social media. Filming himself recording guitar parts at 02:03am infront of a large stereo cab, Zach and another singer can be heard sharing harmonies on 'Motorbreath', another as yet unreleased track he previously teased three days ago (November 4) on socials.
Whether these are to be standalone singles or an entirely new EP or album is yet to be seen. Zach has previous in suddenly dropping both in this way, whether in the form of now beloved singles like 'Burn Burn Burn' or post-album EPs like Summertime Blues and Boys of Faith.
