As he prepared to leave the Great Oak Stage for the final time at BST Hyde Park 2024, Morgan Wallen provided a glimmer of hope to his loyal UK fanbase that they might get the opportunity to see him performing across The Pond again in 2025.
Before exiting and offering a slew of ‘Thank you’s to the 50,000-strong audience, the ‘Everything I Love’ hitmaker teased that he has some 2025 tour-stops up his sleeve in the UK, with Morgan confirming to the London crowd, “We'll see you next year!”
We're keeping our fingers crossed he keeps his word, because given how electrifying his BST Hyde Park performance was, we'll be needing another Morgan Wallen show ASAP. Morgan might fancy taking on Wembley Stadium, which has a 90,000 capacity, or perhaps he'll look at filling Tottenham Hotspur's Stadium first, which seats around 60,000 - a similar size to that of BST Hyde Park.
Thankfully, although BST Hyde Park is his only England date this year, Morgan Wallen does have shows lined up in Glasgow, Dublin, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and the Netherlands in August and September 2024, with numerous attendees at his July 4th set in London undoubtedly planning on making the trip to at least one of these.
The Sneedville megastar's BST Hyde Park 2024 performance was only his second show in the UK, following his momentous debut at the O2 Arena back in December 2023.
Morgan Wallen is continuing to strengthen his bond with his fans across The Pond, with the ‘More Than My Hometown’ singer-songwriter today (July 5th) releasing his keenly anticipated new single, ’Lies, Lies, Lies’, in tandem with his trip to the UK for BST Hyde Park. ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ already holds a special place in UK listeners’ hearts, given the fact that Morgan first recorded it at Abbey Road Studios last year.
As well as teasing a 2025 run of transatlantic shows during his BST Hyde Park set, Morgan Wallen treated attendees a spectacular live UK debut of ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ during the acoustic section of the show, which also featured spellbinding renditions of fan-favourites such as ’Sand in My Boots’, ’Cover Me Up’ and ‘Thought You Should Know’.
Later in the country chart-topper's high-energy set, Morgan Wallen surprised the crowd by bringing out his friend, ERNEST, for a rip-roaring performance of their 2023 duet, ‘Cowgirls’. The hi-hat-filled anthem is expected to hit No. 1 at Country Radio this weekend.
