Noah Kahan has become synonymous with his endearing and often hilarious back-stage antics, with the ‘Stick Season’ hitmaker being spotted by fans teeing off at the driving range just hours before his Gorge Amphitheater show earlier in the year.
Last night (August 4), ahead of his headlining set at Hinterland Festival in Saint Charles, Iowa, rather than relaxing and keeping to himself, Noah Kahan made his way down to the Front-of-House sound area to watch Chappell Roan's electric performance.
Taking to his socials, Noah shared a light-hearted video of him jubilantly and impeccably carrying out the viral dance moves for Chappell Roan's infectious single, ‘HOT TO GO!’ She released the hugely popular track as part of her 2023 album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which also spawned the hit single, ‘Pink Pony Club’.
Noah accompanied the video with a typically playful, self-effacing caption, “I may be headlining but I'm really here for Chappell Roan”, as well as underlining his excitement at getting to witness the fast-emerging artist's performance, “hot to fucking go”.
Noah Kahan has made no secret of his admiration for the break-out Missouri star, with the ‘Dial Drunk’ singer-songwriter revealing in his Late Night Mixtape interview with Seth Myers that he'd love to see Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga collaborating at some point.
Chappell Roan has been hailed by many as the next Lady Gaga, with Noah celebrating how both artists know exactly how to put on an enchanting live show, “Two artists I'd love to see collab would be Chappell Roan and Lady Gaga. I just think they're both incredible, incredible performers and bring so much of their own personal flair to their music, and seeing what they did together would be amazing”.
This is a blockbuster link-up plenty of fans would love to see, but we're also keeping our fingers crossed that Noah Kahan decides to hit the studio with Chappell Roan soon. Both artists lace their music with visceral emotionality, as well as having an ear for a killer hook, and we have no doubt they'd sound fantastic together.
