Thomas Rhett headlined TidalWave Festival 2023 on Friday evening (August 11), welcoming his buddy and tour support Nate Smith to the stage with him to perform his Jon-Pardi featuring hit, 'Beer Can't Fix'.

Joining him halfway through his set, as he's done on Rhett's Home Team Tour this year, Smith celebrated and punched the air with the crowd as his commanding vocal made the care-free song stick in fans' heads even more than usual.

As the Atlantic City beach crowd revelled in the camaraderie between the pair, Rhett and Smith shared a verse each before harmonising on the euphoric final chorus, Smith once again settling in well with Rhett's devoted fanbase.

There's nothing like a Friday night on Atlantic City Beach when Thomas Rhett's in town. Thankfully, TidalWave Music Festival presented us with such an opportunity to see the man himself, with the 'Die A Happy Man' singer gifting us an hour-and-a-half headline set that celebrated the greatest hits from his catalogue.

It felt pretty right that Rhett would open with the bro-country party smash of 'Vacation', lighting up the Atlantic City crowd who were ready for a Friday night party that would last them the weekend.

It's safe to say Rhett delivered, mixing a medley of non-country favourites (anyone see 'Beast of Burden' into 'Jessie's Girl' coming?) into a set full of his own smash hits from the past decade.

Beaming from ear to ear as always, Rhett delivered a high energy, diverse set that cements just why he's become so applauded in his ten-year career.

What's most telling about Rhett's headline set is that he has cultivated and refined his performance into a show for all to enjoy. The die-hard fans can scream along to their hearts content, while the uninitiated festival attendees are pulled in by the slick, hummable delights of songs like the aforementioned 'Beer Can't Fix' and 'T-Shirt', no doubt convinced into buying tickets for his Home Team before the set is through.

Rhett is set to celebrate his ten-year career next month with the release of his new greatest hits album '20 Number Ones'. The project, which will be released as a CD and Vinyl Box Set and Bundle, Rhett has described as being "For you".

"Thank you to every single one of you who has been along for the journey so far" Rhett continued when announcing the release. "So beyond thankful for the last 10 years and even more excited for what's to come".

The 2023 edition of TidalWave is providing plenty of sizzling performances from some of country's biggest stars and fastest-rising newcomers as we celebrate the last days of summer.

After 2022's hell-raising inaugural weekend, this year is racking up to once again be Atlantic City's new favorite country music festival, as we revel in performances from Cole Swindell, Brooks and Dunn and Dustin Lynch, who'll take to the stage throughout the three-day beach bash.
