Thomas Rhett's fanbase may be keenly looking forward to his long-awaited Country Again: Side B album, but this week, the Georgia native announced he'll instead be casting his gaze back at his impressive run of chart-toppers by releasing a new compilation album.

The upcoming project, entitled 20 Number Ones, will be made available on September 29 as a CD and Vinyl boxset. Surprisingly, the album will only include 19 of Rhett's No. 1 hits.

We're kidding, of course. As the name not-so-subtly suggests, the exciting new project will pull together all twenty of Thomas Rhett's No. 1s from his stellar career so far.

These will include early fan-favourites such as ‘Crash and Burn’, ‘Get Me Some Of That’ and ‘Die A Happy Man’, along with Rhett's most recent No. 1, the Riley Green-assisted ‘Half Of Me’, which became his twentieth chart-topping single towards the end of 2022.

Also set to appear on 20 Number Ones is ‘Marry Me’, ‘Sixteen’ and ‘Craving You’, featuring Maren Morris, all of which feature on Thomas Rhett's acclaimed, genre-mixing 2017 Life Changes album.

Some might wonder whether it is too soon in Thomas Rhett's career to look back and compile an album of No. 1 singles, given the fact that the ‘Remember You Young’ hitmaker remains one of the influential artists in the modern country landscape.

However, with the likes of Zac Brown Band and Kenny Chesney having put out Greatest Hits projects just a few years into their lengthy careers, it seems the decision to release 20 Number Ones is a shrewd move from Thomas Rhett and his team.

The collection of certified smashes will highlight to his fans of the colossal impact he has had on the genre, which will in turn provide a boost of momentum heading into his next project, which will hopefully be the previously teased Country Again: Side B.
