The 2021 ACM Awards will return to Nashville this year.
The ACM Awards were delayed last year due to the pandemic; now it will crown this years winners just seven months after last years.
Traditionally the ceremony is staged in the spring in Las Vegas, however last years ceremony was delayed until September and relocated to Music City.
The 2021 awards show will take place on April 18th. Just like last year it will be hosted in three different venues - showcasing the venues that gave Nashville its nickname of music city - the Ryman Auditorium, the Grand Ole Opry House and the Bluebird Cafe.
This format delighted Country fans last year despite none of them being able to attend the ceremony. It resulted in a safe and elegantly produced broadcast.
In a statement, the CEO of the Academy of Country Music said “We’re thrilled to return to Music City’s most iconic venues as we come together on April 18th to celebrate the best in Country Music, back in our normal awards cycle.
A huge thank you to the city of Nashville, Grand Ole Opry House, Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Cafe for welcoming us back to Nashville, where we can look out for the safety of our artists while shining a spotlight on this vibrant city after a tough 2020.”
The ACM also announced that it was donating $25,000 to a fund to support musicians out of work since the Christmas Day bombing.
