Sabrina Carpenter and Dolly Parton to Release New Version of ‘Please, Please, Please’ on ‘Short N’ Sweet’ Deluxe Album

Fresh off the back of her double win at the 67th annual Grammy Awards at the weekend, where she opened the show and picked up the awards for Best Pop Solo Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album, pint sized popstar Sabrina Carpenter has supersized her Short n' Sweet album from last year.

Due for release on February 14th, the deluxe version of the 2024 album comes with five new bonus tracks including a re-recorded version of 'Please, Please, Please' with the Queen of Country herself, Dolly Parton. Sharing photos of the deluxe album’s cover art and track listing on Instagram, Carpenter wrote that she’s gifting the expanded edition — which arrives on Valentine’s Day - as a thank you and was understandably overwhelmed by recording with Dolly: "as a thank you for giving this album 2 Grammy’s :’) short n’ sweet deluxe is now available for pre order.. and yes that does say featuring Miss Dolly Parton…. 💋💋💋she wouldn’t want me to swear but holy shit!!!!!"

The 'Bed Chem' singer had previously paid tribute to Dolly when she performed a version of her 1980 classic '9 to 5' at her headline show at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, and her own country tinged 'Slim Pickins' from Short n' Sweet demonstrated that she had more than enough country chops of her own.

As well as the Dolly duet, the deluxe album will include '15 Minutes,' 'Couldn't Make It Any Harder,' 'Busy Woman' and 'Bad Reviews.'

Although it's unlikely she'll be getting many of them. Her sixth studio album, produced by Jack Antonoff, debuted at number one on the US Billboard Charts when it was released in August of last year to widespread critical acclaim, ending up on more than its fair share of end of the year lists and propelling the former Girl Meets World star to new heights.

The 25-year-old music sensation ended 2024 starring in her own Netflix holiday special, A Nonsense Christmas with Sabrina Carpenter, which featured duets with Chappell Roan, Tyla and Shania Twain among others, performing songs from Short n' Sweet and a selection of holiday classics.
