During a recent performance at Nashville's Country Radio Seminar 2023, Riley Green revealed that his next single would feature one of the biggest stars in country music - Luke Combs.
The two have known each other for a number of years, and are currently out on the road together as part of Combs’ 2023 world tour.
As well as becoming 2023 tour-mates, it seems Green and Combs recently hit the studio to record a new version of ‘Different Round Here’, the title-track from Green's much-loved 2019 album.
Green has now confirmed that the collaboration will be dropping on May 11.
The down-home anthem celebrates the unique joys of living out in the sticks, and pays tribute to Riley Green's upbringing, which - as he outlines in the song - pivoted around faith, family and the great outdoors.
While the track ticks all the typical country music boxes, it's also underpinned by a sense of sepia-tinged charm and heartfelt emotionality that pervades a range of other songs in Green's discography, such as ‘I Wish Grandpas Never Died’ and ‘Behind The Times’.
As part of his CRS 2023 appearance, Green outlined that the new Combs-assisted version of ‘Different Round Here’ would be impacting country radio on May 11.
