Parker McCollum made his debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this Thursday evening. The Texas crooner performed his infectious, whiskey-drenched single, ‘Handle On You’.
After Jimmy's introduction, McCollum stepped up to the mic with his typically cool, collected stage presence, and delivered the song with a sense of swagger and charisma.
The uptempo heartbreak anthem is due to appear on McCollum's new album, Never Enough, which will drop on May 12, and will also feature the recently released ‘Speed’ and ‘I Ain't Going Nowhere’.
‘Handle On You’ has sustained the success of previous hits such as ‘Pretty Heart’ and ‘To Be Loved By You’, with the new single having moved into the Top 5 on the Mediabase Country Radio chart.
McCollum's Jimmy Fallon appearance will give the track's ascent a welcome boost, and it seems on course to topple Bailey Zimmerman's fellow heartbroken hit, ‘Rock and A Hard Place’, at No. 1.
The burgeoning star is no stranger to on-screen performances, with McCollum having impressed with his 2021 rendition of ‘To Be Loved By You’ on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Parker McCollum remains one of the most rapidly emerging artists within country music, and the singer-songwriter is currently preparing to head out on the road on one of the most coveted opening slots in the genre.
McCollum will join up with Morgan Wallen's 2023 world tour for a number of dates on his North American leg.
‘Handle On You’ has become a regular feature in McCollum's setlist, and ticket-holders to any of his 2023 shows will be keenly looking forward to hearing it performed in-person.
While they wait, they were no doubt excited to get a sneak preview of what they can expect through Parker McCollum's appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
