Lil Durk walked out with Morgan Wallen during Drake's packed-out Nashville show at the Bridgestone Arena, with Durk joining Drake to perform their hit single, ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’.
Fans were hoping Lil Durk, who delivered a full opening set earlier in the evening before Drake and J. Cole took the stage, might bring Morgan Wallen out for a live rendition of their much-loved collaborations, ‘Broadway Girls’ and ‘Stand By Me’. Unfortunately, it seems Morgan was only there to enjoy the show, with the Sneedville megastar's sole appearance being during Durk's walk-out.
Durk and Morgan have been good friends for a number of years now, with the unexpected duo first linking up back in 2021 for their blistering, ferocious anthem, ‘Broadway Girls’.
Shortly after their 2023 duet, the uplifting, galvanising ‘Stand By Me’, Lil Durk revealed his plans to release a collaborative country album with Morgan Wallen. Although some dismissed the likelihood of this happening, Durk reiterated his intentions to record the hotly anticipated joint project during a pre-Grammy interview on the Red Carpet.
Interestingly, it seems Morgan Wallen and the Bridgestone Arena headliner, Drake, might have a blockbuster duet up their sleeves too. The chart-topping artists stoked the flames of speculation towards the end of last year, when Morgan appeared in the music video for Drake's 2023 track, ‘You Broke My Heart’.
During the visuals, Morgan and Drake croon teasingly, “I'm kinda glad she's gone”, which many believe - and hope - is a forthcoming unreleased collaboration.
