After a spectacular UK debut performance at the O2 Arena last December, Morgan Wallen will return to London for a blockbuster headlining set at BST Hyde Park 2024.
The ‘Thinkin’ Bout Me’ hitmaker will take the famous Great Oak Stage on Thursday, July 4, with a plethora of supporting artists due to be announced in the weeks to come.
UK country fans are celebrating the surprise announcement, with 2024 shaping up to be one of the biggest BST Hyde Park line-ups ever, after Shania Twain, Kings Of Leon, Robbie Williams, Stevie Nicks, Kylie Minogue, SZA, Andrea Bocelli and Stray Kids were confirmed for the much-loved event over the past few months.
The fact that both Shania Twain and Morgan Wallen both serve as headliners is a testament to country music's explosion in popularity in the last twelve months, with Morgan earning Spotify's most streamed song and album of 2023 with ‘Last Night’ and One Thing At A Time respectively, as well as garnering a staggering 11 Billboard awards.
Tickets to Morgan Wallen's BST Hyde Park show are on-sale from 10am GMT on Wednesday, March 13, and those lucky enough to get their hands on passes will undoubtedly be hoping Morgan performs his recently shared unreleased track, ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’.
Morgan released a video for the stormy offering as part of his Abbey Road Sessions, which he recorded during his December trip to the UK, and ‘Lies, Lies, Lies’ is widely expected to feature on the ‘Everything I Love’ singer-songwriter's upcoming album.
Speaking ahead of the announcement, Morgan Wallen emphasised his excitement at the prospect of returning to the UK this summer, “Last fall was my first time in the UK and man, I loved it. I saw so much while I was there, and the people were incredible. To play where legendary artists like Pink Floyd and The Rolling Stones have played is a huge honor for me and my band, and we can’t wait to be back”.
In addition to hopefully hearing new music, attendees will be looking forward to singing along to Morgan Wallen's formidable arsenal of chart-toppers, including ‘Last Night’, ‘Thought You Should Know’, ‘Thinkin’ Bout Me’, ’Whiskey Glasses’ and more.
