After posting a series of snippets across her socials, Megan Moroney has now released her brand new single, ‘I'm Not Pretty’.
Moroney had been teasing the uptempo, tongue-in-cheek track for the past few weeks, alongside footage from what appears to be the accompanying music video.
On the light-hearted song, Megan Moroney showcases the distinctive, conversational vocals she has quickly become known for.
The Georgia native brushes off any negativity coming her way courtesy of her old flame's partner (“Somewhere out there my ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend's scrolling through my Instagram / Tearing me down, passing the phone around like there's nothing better to talk about”).
After playfully sparring throughout the hook, Moroney delivers her lyrical knock-out blow (“Zooming out, zooming in, over-analysing / Like the Queen of the Mean Girls Committee / But hey, whatever helps / Keep on telling yourself I'm not pretty”).
The release serves as the hotly anticipated follow-up to Megan Moroney's smash hit 2022 single, ‘Tennessee Orange’, which received its own music video in January.
‘I'm Not Pretty’ will is expected to feature on the country prodigy's upcoming debut album, alongside another newly teased track, which Moroney recently performed at a secret show in Nashville.
