Megan Moroney has treated fans to three new tracks as part of the deluxe version of Lucky, including collaborations with fellow country prodigies, Kameron Marlowe and Mackenzie Carpenter.
The expanded project has been timed to coincide with the beginning of Megan Moroney's headlining 2023 Lucky Tour, which kicked off in New York City earlier this week.
As well as sharing an original solo track, ‘Reasons to Stay‘, the ‘I'm Not Pretty’ songsmith has released a revamped version of ‘Fix You Too’ featuring Kameron Marlowe.
The heartfelt, intricate ballad previously appeared on Megan Moroney's celebrated Pistol Made of Roses, which dropped in July 2022 and also featured the fan-favourite ‘Hair Salon’.
The updated rendition of ‘Fix You Too’ introduces a fascinating new dynamic, with Marlow providing a second perspective in his verse, adding to the intimate, conversational feel of the track.
The third new song to appear on Lucky (Deluxe) is ’Nothin’ Crazy’, a playful, light-hearted offering that the ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker has performed at a handful of recent shows, including during one of her captivating sets at The Long Road Festival 2023.
‘Nothin’ Crazy’ finds Moroney and Carpenter stepping back into the self-deprecating shoes of ‘I'm Not Pretty’, as both artists get amusingly carried away planning a future with a man they only just met (“Now I'm picking out a white dress and picket fences / Got the whole thing planned on a board on Pinterest / Heard he's got a little bit of family money / Trust me, I didn't know he had a trust fund, honey”).
Attendees at Moroney's upcoming tour-dates will undoubtedly be looking forward to hearing the new songs, with ticket-holders hoping she finds a place for all three in her setlist.
