Megan Moroney has dropped a new cover of Chris Stapleton's iconic 2013 single, ‘What Are You Listening To?’. The song has been made available as an Amazon Music exclusive.
The recently released rendition serves as an homage to Stapleton's original, with Moroney's conversational yet charismatic vocals bringing a new sense of weariness to the heartbroken ballad.
Originally released as a standalone song in 2013 by Chris Stapleton, ‘What Are You Listening To?’ remains a fan-favourite for many, with country aficionados championing the track as the prime example of Stapleton's raw talents despite it arriving relatively early in his solo career.
Megan Moroney's unexpected cover comes hot on the heels of her new deluxe version of Lucky, which treated listeners to three new tracks, including duets with Mackenzie Carpenter and Kameron Marlowe.
The ‘Tennessee Orange’ hitmaker is currently in the middle of her hotly anticipated 2023 Lucky tour, with shows lined up across California, Colorado, Utah, Texas and more.
Following the immense success of ‘Tennessee Orange’ and the pace that her currently single, ‘I'm Not Pretty’, continues to build at Country Radio, many are tipping Megan Moroney to return from the upcoming 2023 CMA Awards with a trophy or two.
