Lily Rose has signed a record deal with Big Loud and released a new video for her debut single 'Villain'.

The Atlanta Native became a TikTok sensation when her song, ‘Villain’, went viral and topped the iTunes all genre and Country charts.

She signed a single deal with independent label Back Block, while a bidding war ensued between other Nashville labels after that.

It was Big Loud and Republic who prevailed, with Rose saying “It was finding the right family and I felt that with them, right off the bat, it’s been my dream label ever since I moved to Nashville four years ago”.

The labels currently have the biggest album in the States right now, with Morgan Wallen’s ‘Dangerous: The Double Album’ sitting top of the Billboard 200, however this is their first attempt at breaking a female artist into Country music.

Just after announcing the deal, Lily Rose released the video for the song that kick-started her career, ‘Villain’. Speaking of the visual, she said “We wanted to stay away from the obvious, romantic relationship story the song refers to…

It appears that a cop is going around looking for a bad guy and the (twist) is, I’m a dirty cop and I’m really just looking for the money. So the hero the entire time is actually the villain. It’s kind of the antithesis of the actual lyric”.

Lily Rose's single 'Villian' is out now via Big Loud / Republic.
