Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album has topped the Billboard 200 for a second week.
The last time a Country album spent two weeks at number 1 on this chart was Chris Stapleton’s Traveller, back in 2015. Wallen’s record went straight in at number 1 last week - earning 265,000 album units in its first week of release.
The 30-song set features the hit singles ‘7 Summers’, a number 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and ‘More Than My Hometown’, which topped the Country airplay chart recently. ‘
Dangerous’ has topped the Top Country Albums chart in the States as well as topping the Country charts in Canada, Australia and the UK.
Wallen stated that “the double album started off as just a joke between me and my manager because we had accumulated so many songs. Quarantine hit and we realised it might actually be possible to have enough time to make it happen”.
Wallen worked with a plethora of talent on this record, including Stapleton, Shane McAnally, Jason Isbell and Thomas Rhett, to name a few.
‘Dangerous: The Double Album’ is out now via Big Loud.
