Lainey Wilson has released a special live version of her Bell Bottom Country stand-out, ‘Smell Like Smoke’, which debuted during Yellowstone Season 5 Part 1 last year.
The fiery, uptempo anthem remains a fan-favourite, with the ‘Heart Like A Truck’ hitmaker having made it a staple of her setlist while out on the road in 2023 supporting Luke Combs.
Fans have also been able to hear Lainey performing ‘Smell Like Smoke’ live throughout her headlining dates this year, with the 2023 CMA Entertainer of the Year nominee widely expected to announce a blockbuster 2024 tour in the coming months.
Fans were first able to hear ‘Smell Like Smoke’ when Lainey Wilson's much-loved Yellowstone character, Abby, played the track for a group of ranch-hands in the latest season of the hit neo-Western show.
As a result of its electrifying and high-profile inclusion in Kevin Costner's TV series, ‘Smell Like Smoke’ is eligible for a coveted Emmy Award for Outstanding Music and Lyrics.
It remains to be seen whether Lainey will return as Abby for Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2, but it's safe to say fans are hoping she storms back onto the Dutton Ranch when filming starts once again following production being paused due to ongoing Hollywood strikes.
The newly released live version captures the energy and charisma that Lainey Wilson brings to all her performances, with fans able to listen to the new rendition of ‘Smell Like Smoke’ as they look forward to seeing Lainey in-person this Fall as part of HARDY's arena tour.
