One of the many highlights during Kenny Chesney's 2023 shows has been when Kelsea Ballerini joins him on-stage, before the two deliver powerful renditions of ‘You and Tequila’, ‘Wild Child’ and their CMA award-winning collaboration, ‘Half Of My Hometown’.

However, during Kenny's recent set in Greenville, South Carolina, the ‘American Kids’ hitmaker heartwarmingly brought out an extra guest alongside Kelsea Ballerini - his mother.

In the touching moment, which has since gone viral, Kenny and Kelsea serenade the crowd with a heartfelt version of ‘Half Of My Hometown’, while Kenny's mom, Karen, looks gleefully out into his sea of adoring fans as she hugs both artists.

Other special guests that have featured during Kenny Chesney's 2023 live shows include Ashley Cooke, who joined the Knoxville native during his set at Tortuga Festival, along with Little Big Town, in Alabama.

Kenny Chesney's I Go Back tour continues on Saturday, April 28 with an eagerly anticipated show in Greensboro, North Carolina, before he takes his loyal ‘No Shoes Nation’ across to Illinois for another packed-out concert on Thursday, May 4.

The purpose of Kenny's 2023 I Go Back tour has been to revisit some of the locations he played when he was still an up-and-coming artist. He's so far been aligning his setlist with this theme of nostalgia, with the four-time CMA Entertainer of the Year including a range of older fan-favourites, such as ‘The Good Stuff’, ‘Big Star’ and ‘Don't Happen Twice’.

This move has been widely celebrated by fans, with Kenny making sure to play a series of newer tracks this year too, such as his much-loved 2020 anthems, ‘Here and Now’ and ’We Do’.

Kenny Chesney is yet to perform his latest release, a beautiful tribute to his beloved dog, ‘Da Ruba Girl’, who passed away towards the end of 2022, but we imagine he'll dust off this emotional track at some point during his tour. Fans will also be keenly keeping an eye out to see if he treats them to any unreleased songs while out on the road.
